Bendrigg 2016

Each year we send a group of Year 6 children to Bendrigg Trust for four days.  The Bendrigg Trust is a residential activity centre situated in idyllic countryside, 7 miles southeast of Kendal, nestled between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.  The aim of the Trust is to promote integration, encourage independence and build self-confidence through the use of residential experience and the safe provision of adventurous outdoor activities. Within their 15 acre grounds the Bendrigg staff provided us with various activities; these include archery, kayaking, zip wire, indoor caving, and indoor climbing.  Beyond this, we experienced the natural beauty of the local area whilst caving and hill walking. Although it was very tiring it was a very positive experience for all involved.
